Justin Bieber's Coachella 2026 Set Earns Rave Reviews from Lizzo, Labrinth, and Katy Perry
Justin Bieber's headlining performance at Coachella 2026 received high praise from fellow artists Lizzo, Labrinth, and Katy Perry. The set included a nostalgic look back at his early viral videos.

Following his headlining set at Coachella, Justin Bieber is garnering praise from fellow musicians.
Lizzo shared a heartfelt Instagram post on Sunday (April 12) after witnessing the Canadian pop star’s performance the day before. She captioned livestream screenshots of Bieber performing on the main stage, alongside an old YouTube video of himself playing on the big screen behind him, writing, “I watched a popstar who grew up in front of the world fully transcend into his artistry last night.”
"I watched someone who gave us his all, his whole life.. finally nourish hisself,” Lizzo continued. “I have no pictures or videos because I was fully present in the moment. Justin invited us and whoever chose to come with him was blessed with a beautiful ride. When you use your gift for God, it will make people uncomfortable. But that’s OK because the ones who stick beside you will feel the love.”
Another artist who enjoyed Bieber’s performance was Labrinth. The singer-producer shared praise on his Instagram Story on Sunday, writing, “JUSTIN… I SEE WHAT YOUR [sic] DOING AND I LOVE IT … BE TRUE! F–K WHAT ANYONE ELSE THINKS.”
The former teen idol’s set took place on the second day of the festival. The first weekend kicked off with Sabrina Carpenter headlining on Friday (April 10) and closed with Karol G on Sunday. All three headliners — as well as the numerous artists who are also on this year’s bill — will return for weekend two starting on Friday (April 17).
Bieber’s performance was particularly memorable because he spent part of his set scrolling through YouTube, watching some of his earliest viral videos on stage with the audience. Other celebrities who shared reactions to the showcase included Katy Perry — who attended the festival with boyfriend Justin Trudeau and joked on Instagram, “Thank God he has Premium. I don’t wanna see no ads” — and Zara Larsson. Larsson shared a video of herself watching Bieber perform at home and wrote, “It’s giving lets smoke and watch YouTube.”
