Kacey Musgraves Debuts New Tracks from 'Middle of Nowhere' at Coachella 2026
Kacey Musgraves surprised fans at Coachella 2026 with a performance featuring new songs from her upcoming album, 'Middle of Nowhere.' The set included the debut of the title track, along with other exciting new material.

Country music star Kacey Musgraves made a surprise appearance at Coachella 2026, performing at the Mojave Tent, following in the footsteps of Jack White who played the venue during weekend one.

To kick off her set, Musgraves arrived on horseback and debuted the title track from her forthcoming album, 'Middle of Nowhere'. The set also included first-time performances of 'Back On The Wagon,' a ballad about toxic relationships, and 'Uncertain, TX,' complete with a line dance break.
Fans may recall Musgraves' previous Coachella performance in 2019, where she famously engaged the crowd with a "yee-haw" call-and-response. She playfully referenced the viral moment during her 2026 set, sharing the clip with the audience.

NME previously praised Musgraves for "making country cool" in their review of her 2019 Coachella set.
Musgraves' highly anticipated follow-up to 2024’s ‘Deeper Well’ is set to drop on Friday, May 1st, featuring the single ‘Dry Spell’ and collaborations with Miranda Lambert, Willie Nelson, Billy Strings, and Gregory Alan Isakov.
She won a Grammy for Best Country Song at the 2025 awards for ‘The Architect’ from ‘Deeper Well’.
