"Drop Dead" serves as the lead single from Rodrigo's highly anticipated third album, You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love, slated for release on June 12. The song dropped with a striking video filmed at the Palace of Versailles, directed by Petra Collins, a frequent collaborator of Rodrigo. Rae released her debut LP, Addison, last summer.
Rae's set also featured an appearance by Maddie Ziegler, recognized for her work with Sia and her time on Dance Moms, during "Aquamarine"; Ziegler also joined Rae on stage during Weekend One. This year's Coachella has been notable for its guest appearances: Sabrina Carpenter shared the stage with Madonna, Zara Larsson joined PinkPantheress, and Justin Bieber brought out SZA, Sexyy Red, Big Sean, Billie Eilish, and Dijon.
