Post Malone Delays Tour with Jelly Roll to Finish Highly Anticipated Album

Post Malone has announced a delay in the opening leg of his Big Ass Stadium Tour alongside Jelly Roll. The decision impacts the first six dates, as he focuses on completing his forthcoming album.

In a message to his fans, Malone explained that the decision came after evaluating the feasibility of balancing his live performances with his recording schedule.

"Looking at the upcoming schedule… I came to the realization that what we’re trying to do, and what’s possible, isn’t really lining up," he stated, emphasizing the need for more time to finalize the new music.

He added, "The truth is, I promised y’all beautiful people new music, and I don’t have the time to finish it before tour starts. We ain’t ready for tour just yet, so I’m making the decision to push the tour back about 3 weeks to get this music done."

The postponement affects shows originally slated to begin on May 13 in El Paso, Texas, and includes stops in Waco, Baton Rouge, Birmingham, Tampa, and Oxford, Mississippi. The tour is now set to commence on June 9 in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Speculation surrounds Malone’s new project, rumored to be titled The Eternal Buzz, although a firm release date is still unconfirmed. Despite earlier assumptions, the album remains unfinished.

"That being said, I’m so sorry to the folks who were planning on coming to the few canceled shows. I was looking forward to going nuts with y’all. That THAT being said, we been making some badass s— for this double album… and I can’t wait to perform for y’all again."

This delay follows a period of considerable success for Malone. His 2023 album, Austin, reached the top 5 on the Billboard 200, and earlier albums like Hollywood’s Bleeding spawned numerous chart-topping hits, including "Circles," which topped the Billboard Hot 100.

The Big Ass Stadium Tour signifies Malone’s continued exploration of country and roots-influenced sounds, attracting a broader audience. His collaboration with Jelly Roll, known for blending country, rock, and hip-hop, underscores this crossover appeal.

His most recent album, F-1 Trillion, featured the Country Airplay No. 1 track “Pour Me a Drink” and the Billboard Hot 100 hit “I Had Some Help.” He has hinted at a future country project, telling Billboard about new music in the works and teasing the title The Eternal Buzz on social media.
