Ravyn Lenae Announces New Album 'Blue Island' and Drops Captivating Single "Handle"
Ravyn Lenae is set to release her highly anticipated album, Blue Island, on August 7. The album announcement arrives with the release of her new single, "Handle", accompanied by a visually stunning video.
Ravyn Lenae has announced her new album, Blue Island, marking her first full-length project since 2024's Bird’s Eye, which featured the hit track “Love Me Not.” Blue Island is set to drop August 7 via Atlantic. Fans can now enjoy the new single “Handle,” along with its music video directed by Andre Muir featuring choreography by Akira Uchida.
"‘Blue Island’ is a point of arrival, and feeling set in my ways and in who I am, and feeling free of any of those preconceived notions about Blackness or what I had to be in the past,” Lenae shared in a statement. “I think now it’s fun to challenge the idea of what R&B is supposed to sound like, what pop is supposed to sound like… and really say ‘fuck all of that’ and do my own thing.”
