Rock icon Roger Taylor, best known as the powerhouse drummer for Queen, has officially announced his seventh solo studio album, 'Violence Insane In A Beautiful World'. This highly anticipated release, his first since 2021's 'Outsider', is slated to drop on September 18, 2026, via Columbia.
To coincide with the album news, Taylor has also shared the record's lead single, 'Come On Summer (It’s Party Time)'. The track features the incredible Ndlovu Youth Choir from Limpopo, South Africa, who famously gained international recognition for their Zulu rendition of Queen's timeless anthem, 'Bohemian Rhapsody'.
Fans can look forward to hearing the new material live as Taylor prepares for a short but impactful UK tour in September. The tour kicks off at Newcastle O2 City Hall, with additional dates including London Roundhouse and Swansea Building Society Arena, alongside stops in Edinburgh Usher Hall, Birmingham The Alexandra, and Manchester Opera House.
Tickets for the general public go on sale at 10 am BST on Wednesday, June 17. For those eager to secure their spot, a pre-sale will be available from 10 am BST on Monday, June 15, for fans who pre-order the album by 11:59 pm BST on Saturday, June 13.
While not a traditional concept album, 'Violence Insane In A Beautiful World' is unified by a profound overarching theme. Taylor himself elaborates on its genesis, stating, "There is a theme, you know, it’s in the title really, what a beautiful world we live in, don’t fuck it up. There seems to be all this insanity at the moment."
He continues, "The violence in the world seems to be as bad as it ever was, at any point, and certainly in my lifetime. It’s just horrific, a lot of insane violence. And we do seem to be fucking up the world, plastics in the sea, you know, and all these awful wars everywhere and hatred born of different religions."

Taylor concludes with a powerful message: "It’s a beautiful world, you know. And kindness is very important, I think, it seems to be forgotten quite a lot. So, that is basically the sort of underlying theme."
The album, fully produced, sung, and performed by Taylor, also features contributions from long-time collaborator Joshua J.Macrae, members of Taylor's live band, and, of course, The Ndlovu Youth Choir. 'Violence Insane In A Beautiful World' will be available in various formats, including black and Earth Blue vinyl, a picture disc, and a standard CD.
