Salem Unleashes Surprise Album 'Red Dragon' Featuring Rare and New Tracks
Witch house pioneers Salem drop 'Red Dragon,' a sprawling collection of archival recordings and new material, marking their first full-length release since 2020's 'Fires in Heaven'.
With minimal fanfare, Salem has dropped a surprise album, nearly six years after their last release. Red Dragon, a sprawling collection of 31 tracks clocking in at almost two hours, has materialized.
The album gathers rare, previously unreleased archival recordings alongside brand new songs. At least one track, the title track Red Dragon, appears to feature vocals from Heather Marlatt, a founding member of Salem who departed before their last LP, 2020’s Fires in Heaven. The group is currently a duo of Jack Donoghue and John Holland.
