Stagecoach Festival Evacuated Due to High Winds; Journey's Set Canceled, Lainey Wilson's Performance Delayed
High winds forced the Stagecoach Festival to evacuate on Saturday night, leading to the cancellation of Journey's set and a delayed performance by Lainey Wilson.

Stagecoach Festival experienced a dramatic interruption Saturday night as high winds prompted organizers to evacuate the festival grounds. Performances were halted, leading to significant changes in the evening's lineup, most notably the removal of Journey from the bill.
Following the disruption, updated set times confirmed that Journey, initially scheduled for the Mustang Stage, would no longer perform.

Headliner Lainey Wilson's performance on the Mane Stage was pushed back by an hour, now slated for 10:30 p.m. Riley Green was also removed from the evening's lineup.
Other adjustments included Pitbull’s late-night Mustang Stage set, which shifted from 11 p.m. to midnight, extending until 1 a.m. Gavin Adcock, whose earlier set was cut short, joined the Whiskey Jam All-Star Sing-Along in the Palomino Tent.
The evacuation was triggered by intensifying high winds at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, the festival's location. An “emergency evacuation” message appeared on screens, directing attendees to the nearest exit. Alerts via the festival's official app also instructed festivalgoers to leave the area.
The disruption affected multiple stages, including the Mane Stage. Winds had been increasing throughout the day, with gusts intensifying into the evening under a regional wind advisory.
Billboard’s Jessica Nicholson, on-site at the Palomino Stage, reported that Gavin Adcock’s performance was halted, with screens displaying “Stage Area Closed” messages followed by evacuation instructions.
Attendees shared videos showing large crowds calmly exiting the venue.
Stagecoach later announced via social media that the festival would resume shortly, reopening the gates later that evening with updated set times posted across its social channels.
Stagecoach, a major country music festival in the United States, is held annually at the same site as the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, drawing tens of thousands of attendees.
