The Strokes Announce New Album 'Reality Awaits' with Retro Teaser
The Strokes are gearing up to release their seventh studio album, Reality Awaits, marking their first LP since their Grammy-winning The New Abnormal in 2020. A retro-styled teaser hints at a summer release.
A new Strokes album is on the horizon! The band has dropped a retro teaser video featuring a classic 1980s Nissan 300ZX, accompanied by the intriguing tagline: "In the Flesh, it’s Even Sexier." This confirms that their seventh studio album will be titled Reality Awaits, slated for release "this summer."
Reality Awaits is the band's first full-length offering since 2020's critically acclaimed The New Abnormal. That record earned Julian Casablancas & co. their first Grammy Award. In the interim, Casablancas' other band, The Voidz, released the album Like All Before You in 2024.
Fans can catch The Strokes performing at Coachella this weekend. They are also headlining Bonnaroo and Outside Lands later in the summer.
