Broken Social Scene is back, igniting excitement among indie rock aficionados with their upcoming album, Remember the Humans. This marks their first full-length release in nearly ten years, scheduled to drop on May 8th via Arts & Crafts. The lead single, “Not Around Anymore,” is already making waves, and the announcement of a joint tour with Metric has further amplified the anticipation.
Remember the Humans represents Broken Social Scene’s sixth studio endeavor. Following up on 2017’s Hug of Thunder, the album sees the band reuniting with producer David Newfeld, the sonic architect behind their seminal albums You Forgot It in People and Broken Social Scene.
To celebrate the release, Broken Social Scene will hit the road with Metric and Stars for the All the Feelings Tour, a can't-miss event for indie music lovers. Kicking off on June 8th in Austin, Texas, the tour will culminate in a grand finale hometown show on August 7th in Toronto.
Following the critically acclaimed Hug of Thunder, which earned a spot on several best-of-the-year lists, Broken Social Scene released the Let’s Try the After EPs in 2019, divided into two volumes. In 2022, they also unveiled Old Dead Young, a compilation of B-sides and rarities, showcasing their enduring creativity.
