Celine Dion Returns with Stunning New Single "Dansons" Ahead of Paris Residency
Celine Dion makes a triumphant return with the release of "Dansons," a beautiful French-language track, signaling her comeback ahead of her highly anticipated Paris residency.

Celine Dion's grand return to music continues with the release of her new song "Dansons" on Friday, April 17, a beautiful and moving track released in anticipation of her upcoming Paris residency.
Written by Jean-Jacques Goldman, "Dansons" is a lush, cinematic song sung in French, marking a return to the musical styles that defined the early years of Dion's career. Goldman and Dion have collaborated extensively, including on her 1995 album D’eux and the 2016 single “Encore un Soir.”
"Dansons pour être et restеr droits/ Parce qu’on se le doit, pour tous les immobiles,” Dion sings, her voice soaring over gentle strings. The song carries a powerful message about the importance of persevering and continuing to dance, even when facing adversity. “Tous les sans-voix, ni loi, parce que c’est inutile/ Parce que toi et moi, nos visages, nos bras/ Malgré tout puisqu’on ne peut danser que debout.”
Dion also released a music video for the ballad, featuring scenes of a ballerina and dancing couples twirling around Paris.
"Dansons" is Dion’s first major release since her Billboard 200-topping album Courage in 2019. Since then, Dion has been away from the public eye, battling Stiff Person Syndrome, a neurological condition causing severe muscle spasms that have impacted her ability to perform. Her comeback began in late March with the announcement of her residency at La Défense Arena in Paris, running from September 12 to October 17.
"I want to let you know that I’m doing great, managing my health, feeling good,” Dion shared in a video announcing her residency. “I’m singing again, even doing a little dancing.”
