Coachella's Do LaB Stage Shuttered After Speaker Incident: Festivalgoers Report Injury

Reports are circulating on social media that Coachella's Do LaB stage was closed last night after a speaker reportedly fell and injured a festival attendee.

The festival is back in Indio, California, boasting a lineup of over 100 acts across eight stages. The incident occurred during the first weekend, leaving the future of the Do LaB stage uncertain.

The Do LaB stage is a festival staple, known for its surprise guests like DJ Snake and Billie Eilish. Its lineup isn't listed on the main Coachella poster, adding to its mystique.

According to social media posts, the incident occurred on April 10. A video shared on X shows a festival worker standing near the taped-off stage, stating, "a speaker fell and injured somebody, so we had to close." Coachella has yet to release an official statement.

Conflicting reports have emerged online. One user claimed the speaker fell during John Summit's set, while another stated it happened during Jigitz's performance. The lack of official information has frustrated many.

"Pretty lame there’s been nothing official on either Do Lab or Coachella’s socials about this," one user wrote. "There’s not even an update in the app."

NME has reached out to Coachella for comment.

In related Coachella news, Jack White was confirmed as a last-minute addition, and Lambrini Girls appear to have been dropped from the lineup. Karol G has reportedly been warned about her visa status.

Other notable acts performing at Coachella this year include The xx, The Strokes, Nine Inch Noize (Nine Inch Nails and Boys Noize), Disclosure, Turnstile, Geese, Ethel Cain, KATSEYE, Addison Rae, Labrinth, David Byrne, Interpol, Alex G, BIGBANG, Laufey, Iggy Pop, FKA Twigs, and Wet Leg.
