Jennie of BLACKPINK and Tame Impala Collab on 'Dracula' Remix: What We Know
BLACKPINK's Jennie teams up with Tame Impala for a remix of 'Dracula,' marking her first solo release since her album 'Ruby.' Here's the scoop.
Jennie from BLACKPINK and Tame Impala are set to thrill fans with an unexpected collaboration: a remix of Tame Impala’s track “Dracula.”
Kevin Parker, the creative force behind Tame Impala, made the announcement on Tuesday, February 3rd. He shared an Instagram video from the studio, highlighting a mixing console fader labeled “Jennie,” which unveiled her vocals on the track. The snippet features Jennie singing, “My friends are saying, ‘Shut up, JENNIE, just get in the car’/ I just wanna be right where you are.”
Parker's caption simply read, “Surprise… Friday,” signaling the imminent release of the remix. Tame Impala has been Kevin Parker's musical project since 2008.
The “Dracula” remix will be Jennie’s first solo release since her debut album, Ruby, which dropped in March 2025. Ruby reached No. 7 on the Billboard 200 and produced several Billboard Hot 100 entries, including “ExtraL” featuring Doechii and “Like Jennie.”
Since her solo release, Jennie has been touring extensively with her BLACKPINK bandmates, Lisa, Rosé, and Jisoo, as part of their Deadline World Tour, which spanned from July of last year to the end of January. BLACKPINK's mini-album, Deadline, is scheduled for release on February 27.
During a recent appearance on Call Her Daddy, Rosé shared insights about the upcoming album: “It’s an album that we’ve all kind of obviously come back from after that year of exploring and all being our individual selves … I think it was really interesting to come back and see what was created after that.”
Parker has also experienced a successful year. After nearly two decades as a sought-after collaborator, Tame Impala achieved a Hot 100 hit in October with “Dracula,” followed by “Loser” and “My Old Ways” from the album Deadbeat.
