Complete with the soulful twang of a slide guitar and delicate piano melodies, Musgraves infused the popular R&B song with a warm, country vibe, topped off with her signature black cowboy hat.
During the same session, she also performed 'Dry Spell,' the latest single from her highly anticipated album, ‘Middle of Nowhere,’ slated for release on Friday, May 1st.

‘Middle of Nowhere’ boasts an impressive roster of collaborators, including Miranda Lambert, Willie Nelson, Billy Strings, and Gregory Alan Isakov.
Musgraves recently debuted several tracks from the upcoming album during her surprise set at Coachella 2026. She was revealed as a last-minute addition to the lineup just days before the festival, taking the stage at the Mojave Tent on Saturday, April 18th, following Jack White's performance during weekend one.
Her Coachella performance was marked by a grand entrance on horseback, followed by the live debut of the album's title track as the opening number. She also treated the audience to the first-ever live performances of 'Back On The Wagon,' a bittersweet ballad about toxic relationships, and 'Uncertain, TX,' complete with a fun line dance break.
The new album follows up 2024's ‘Deeper Well,’ which earned Musgraves a Grammy at the 2025 awards for Best Country Song with the track ‘The Architect.’
In NME's three-star review of ‘Deeper Well,’ it was noted: “'Deeper Well' vibrates with the excitement of a fresh start. The sixth LP from country crossover star Kacey Musgraves lives in a state of suspended animation, reeling out self-care mantras without worrying if they will seem embarrassing years later.
As for SZA, she recently reflected on the release of ‘SOS,’ recalling her label’s initial skepticism about the album's chances against Taylor Swift on the charts – a challenge it ultimately overcame.
