Kodak Black Arrested Again: Fleeing Law Enforcement and Obstructing Justice

Kodak Black (born Bill Kapri), has been arrested again in Florida on charges of fleeing law enforcement and resisting arrest without violence.

According to Broward County Clerk of Courts records, the charges stem from a traffic stop that occurred on Feb. 27 in Pompano Beach, Florida.

NBC6 reports that the arrest affidavit claims Kodak knew he was ordered to stop by law enforcement but fled from deputies.

Officers initially stopped Kodak, who was in a pink Jeep Grand Cherokee, for allegedly holding up traffic. The situation escalated when an SUV and a minivan arrived with multiple armed men, purportedly Kodak’s security, prompting him to drive off.

Officers noted that Kodak was wearing a San Antonio Spurs jersey, matching his attire in a social media post from earlier that day.

The same Jeep Cherokee was later pulled over, driven by another individual, revealing 16 grams of Oxycodone, three grams of cannabis, over $26,000 in cash, and diamond jewelry.

Kodak's attorney, Bradford M. Cohen, stated that the armed men were his client's licensed security team.

Kodak posted a $3,500 bond and was released, with the condition of not possessing any weapons during the active case.

This arrest follows a previous one on May 6 in Florida, where Kodak Black faced drug trafficking charges for allegedly trafficking MDMA.

Cohen stated that the May arrest was a "coordinated surrender" related to a November 2025 incident involving prescription cough syrup found in a car, where Cohen claims his client was not present.

Cohen added, "We look forward to yet another fruitful resolution to another case that should have never been filed."

Billboard has reached out to Cohen for comment on the latest incident.
