Lana Del Rey Channels Bond Glamour in New Track 'First Light'
Lana Del Rey unveils 'First Light,' a cinematic theme for the upcoming 007 First Light video game, echoing classic Bond scores.
Lana Del Rey has released a new song, “First Light,” crafted for the title sequence of the highly anticipated 007 First Light video game. This marks the first James Bond game release since 2012.
“First Light” is a lush, orchestral piece interwoven with recognizable motifs from the iconic James Bond theme. The track is a collaboration with David Arnold, a veteran composer who previously scored five Bond films, including Tomorrow Never Dies and Casino Royale. The video game's broader score is the work of The Flight.

007 First Light, developed and published by IO Interactive, tells the origin story of Bond as a rookie MI6 agent striving to earn his 00 status. The game launches on May 27 for PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S, with a Nintendo Switch 2 release planned later in the year.
The 007 First Light title sequence, featuring Del Rey’s song, premiered on the game’s official channels, including Twitch, YouTube, TikTok, Steam, and X, on April 17.
In other news, Lana Del Rey has been teasing her Did You Know There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Boulevard follow-up, reportedly country-inspired. Tentatively titled Stove, the album follows a series of title changes (including The Right Person Will Stay and Lasso), though a release date remains unconfirmed. She recently released “White Feather Hawk Tail Deer Hunter,” calling it her favorite song on the upcoming album.
