Sparta Returns with "Cut A Silhouette," Co-Written by My Chemical Romance's Frank Iero
Post-hardcore band Sparta announces their new album, Cut A Silhouette, featuring the lead single "Crater" co-written with Frank Iero from My Chemical Romance.
The post-hardcore scene is about to get a jolt of energy as Sparta announces their latest LP, Cut A Silhouette, the follow-up to their 2022 self-titled release. The band has dropped "Crater," the lead single, which is already making waves thanks to its co-writing credit with Frank Iero of My Chemical Romance.
"This is a love record," says frontman Jim Ward. "I want it to leave an impression, and at this point in my career, that's what I yearn for. I'm working so hard to make something meaningful to me, and I really want people to get a chance to feel it as well."

Cut A Silhouette was recorded in just seven days at Magpie Cage Recording Studio with J. Robbins of Jawbox handling production and engineering duties. Besides Iero's contribution to "Mouthbreather," the album boasts collaborations with Chevelle's Kemble Walters, Brooks Harlan (also of Jawbox and War On Women), Carlos Arévalo from Chicano Batman, and Adrian Bourgeois.
